Toyota Prius - An unlikely Hollywood star

WHEN Toyota were developing the Prius, they were set on making a car with interest of the world's environment. It's highly doubted that Toyota's marketing men predicted their green car would appeal to celebrities. Let alone the thought of them ever driving one.

Few would have predicted on how many famous owners the Prius would get. While many have Ferraris, Bentleys and Range Rovers. They will also have a Prius in their garage.

Not your usual footballer’s car

WHAT cars do footballers usually drive? Bentleys, Range Rovers or Ferraris would enter most peoples’ heads. That’s probably been tarted up (or blinged up in Yoof speak) to an acquired taste. Chances are they will be featured in a tabloid newspaper that’s been in a crash.

Morten Gamst Pedersen challenges the footballer stereotype. The Blackburn Rovers veteran here is pictured with his Tiger R6 kit car.

It’s highly unlikely you’d see the Norweigan International arrive to Ewood Park or Brockhall in the Tiger. More than anything, it will be his weekend toy. With the size of his wage packet, he can afford to own a few flash cars.

Pedersen’s Tiger kit car is a world away from El-Hadji Diouf’s Cadillac Escalade. His former teammate’s motor is blinged up with a hideous gold paint job that's an epitome of poor taste.

Inbetweeners car for sale

The little yellow Fiat Cinquecento was one of the stars on The Inbetweeners. The car featured on the hit E4 comedy is now up for sale.

WITH cars that are the stars on films and television programmes. Their appearances and the roles they play can have profound effects on the car’s value and street cred. Take the MK3 Ford Cortina from Life On Mars; the Reliant Regal on Only Fools and Horses and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. You get my drift there.

Like the main characters: Will McKenzie (Simon Bird), Simon Cooper (Joe Thomas), Jay Cartwright (James Buckley) and Neil Sutherland (Blake Harrison). Simon's diddy, little Cinq was the butt of jokes. It also had its fair share of moments.

Anyways, lets cut to the chase here. The car will be auctioned off on eBay. Regardless of how much cash the winning bidder parted for the Fiat. The money made will be donated to Comic Relief. There’s no question that the "clunge-mobile" will be sold for a huge sum. With the money made going to a good cause. It will easily be the most expensive Fiat Cinquecento ever that's for sure!
